Im not a huge collector of tokens but most of everything you see is due to repunched letters. Thats about as much as I know for all that, I would assume the dot under the K is just a die chip accompanied by a few broken letters.

I agree with John W. Although your find is very eye-catching, and I wouldn't mind finding a similar token. Keep it.

Neat find, most of it looks like Die Deterioration. Courteau only listed 10 varieties for the 1837 Habitant 1/2 d's. None list a dot under K.

To clarify, Photo #3, #4 and #5 are 100% re-punched without a doubt. The remainder I agree with 1960NYGiants regarding the deterioration.

You have the city bank token. From this bank I do not remember to see one nice and without default. How many City Bank strike it is a mystery, or maybe me I miss some articles. You forgot to mention also that your habitant from your token have "amputated" hand (look like). I will post one day one photos with this token with Papineau or habitant with a lance in his right hand. I will never understand looking for varieties on those poor strikes. I think that never a collection would be accomplish. My opinion.

Many thanks to all who shared their knowledge. Below find a magnified image of the severed hand noted by silviosi.
