I'd just like to get a feel for the grade before I make a bid. These are the seller photos. I know the blurry one doesn't really help but thought I'd include it anyway for the weight.

MS64 I think those hits on the cheek look pretty deep and are in an area of main attraction. Otherwise MS65 if they aren't so bad.

Photo should be directly on a perpendicular plane to camera, the very slight tilting, makes the hit area look less distracting than I think it may be, and much brighter lighting to show the luster.

@westcoin, that's what I mean, it's frustrating. A lot of sellers get the perfect angle and it ends up washing over all the marks and broken lustre. Appears to be a mark on the breast also.

It's what I call a Monday/Friday coin.

On a Monday morning grading session it would make 65; on a Friday afternoon grading session it would make 66.

Nice coin no matter what it grades!

I think the lighting is obscuring some significant marks on the cheek. I'd say MS-64.

I think that coin will pull 64 maybe 64+. Although that last picture is blurry I can make out the deep hit on the cheek. Maybe that's why it's blurry? Good luck on your bidding if you so choose.

I'm in the MS64, very possibly 65 bubble as well, dependent upon how significant the hits to the cheek are.

From photos the grade is 65/66, but the photos may be deceptive as the blurry one shows more marks on the cheek and neck that are not visible on the in focus photos.

I played with the seller's pics a bit, reducing light, sharpening contrast, and enhancing color. The only part of the coin I can't see as well as the rest of the coin is the bottom third of the reverse. From what I can see, the obverse is MS-64/64+, and the reverse I can see is easily MS-66. IMHO, this likely nets to MS-65, with a shot at MS-65+. It sure looks like a nice one.

I would cautiously grade this a 64 since the pictures may not tell the full story. I agree with those saying the hits may be deeper than they appear.
