I'm by no means a pro and will never claim to be...just my 2 cents A smile costs nothing to give or receive....GF If it's not hockey, it's not a sport
The 1972 LMC had numerous DDO varieties. The only one that I am familiar with, that had any markers associated with the obverse rim, is Wexler's DDO-004 in which there were rim cuds in approximately the 8-10:00 area adjacent to LIBERTY. The splitting of the rim on your coin could be caused by a myriad of reasons. However, being that there are numerous 1972 varieties (which I have a very soft spot for and carefully examine any of them I come across), MUCH clearer pics of the date and the motto on the obverse would definitely help. Thanks.
