Unfortunately, this is not a doubled die. This is called Machine Doubling, and doesn't have any value other than the 1 cent the coin can be spent for. Sorry to burst your bubble.

It's classic Machine Doubling. The real 1966 DDR is very strong and very rare.

As others have said, just Machine Doubling. I strongly recommend using a reference site like variety vista or Wexler's die varieties to reduce your number of false positives in the future.

At the risk of piling on, yes, it's machine doubling--and a good example of it. Flat and shelf-like. I'd toss it into a 2x2 for reference purposes.
