Good afternoon!
Please see this gorgeous penny, looks even better in person, there is actually much more purple.
Someone posted on here a while ago if rainbow toned pennies and worth keeping and the reply was...Depends if it is a key date. I would greatly appreciate knowing what dates they may be.
Also, any ideas on what this could be worth? Could it be Grade-worthy? It was part of a Proof Set.
Thank you!!

Very attractive example, but not a key date. Probably worth just a few dollars in this condition.

@gret, first thing I would do while you are waiting for folks to weigh in would be to give this coin a bath in pure acetone and then never handle it again with your bare fingers. The oils on our skin are bad for high-grade coins.

Spence, I ordered 100% acetone, I have several coins to wash. Thanks.
Coinfrog, what would those key dates be? I have a lot of old coins to go through. Thank you.

the 1975 S it is not worth to certify. I suggest to build complete collection, then certify. The TPG can certify and put on ten years slab which it is more worth then individual. But pay attention ! Do not mixt the proofs with MS or variety and errors. Collector opinion.

It's a proof, attractively toned proofs are always in demand. The value of these are fairly low, they are plentiful, so it's not worth slabbing unless it can hit the highest grade possible....and I don't think this coin will.

Nice coin. Agree with all of the above. Yes, watch those finger (and palm) prints.

I myself would pay a health premium for a naturally toned cent. How much would depend on the severity, but a premium none the less. Beautiful Lincoln! Thanks for sharing.

Oh, and thanks for properly holding it!

Nice example!

A keeper, but not worth getting graded.
