Odd shaped field distortion happening around the mint-mark..why is this coin not slabbed?, where does the seller claim it comes from? Does the seller seem reparable? Is the price equal to grade? Return policy? Lots of questions to ask yourself..Remember that saying..."if it looks too good....."
I'm by no means a pro and will never claim to be...just my 2 cents

the seller seems reparable. It has a phone number attached, which I called, late 9PM their time, but was answered, the person on the other end said to call back tomorrow because the store ws not open. they have lots of positive feedback.. Here let me post up the item number:

eBay item number:324559180059

have a look see, please give me constructive feedback for this.

I don't care for the texture of the left obverse field.

this is a wow coin if the photos are true. is the glare hiding anything? 30 day return and the seller appears to be reputable. the chances of pulling a 66 a slim but I can see it at MS65 which at the offer price would be a steal. my biggest question/concern on this one is why isn't a coin like this slabbed OR maybe it was and it came back as a 64 or received a details designation and was cracked out

edited - I just noticed that the post itself was for both the 32S & D you posted separately for $995. something is not right at that price. even at MS63 that price is 1/2 retail for both coins. I dont get it.

The pictures are in greyscale, I would personally not touch these with a ten foot pole without full color photos as they are almost certainly hiding something

Just to add, did you check out the sellers neutral feedback? 1 is about a 32 D quarter....

With this snipy remark from the seller:

Quote:
Inexperienced Buyer Liked the photo but not the coin

LOL. What? The only way to assess a coin on eBay IS THE PHOTO! Only AFTER you received the coin can you examine it in-hand. DUH! Nothing to do with "inexperience".

Sorry, but I would stay away from this seller.

Thanks for all the input and time you all gave me.

This what I expected anyway, I just wanted some other expert input as well.

Well then I cannot buy them.
I need reassurances that the coin are not modified, polished, cleaned, and most important - are Genuine.

(Bye the way - the numbers in the sellers name is his actual phone number..) So if anyone would want to call him.........

If these were really "Choice/Gem BU" (i.e. MS65+) they would sell for over $10K total.
Even in AU58 condition these coins - as a pair - are $700+ total.
I would insist on buying graded only. The excuse of "but, but, but,... the seller doesn't like grading!" doesn't cut it.

I'm good with that.. The early Proof issue Washington quarters I bought the other day are PCGS graded.
Like the 1936 Proof quarter that I'm expecting any day now..

Just for kicks, I searched for more like the above quarters, This guy has another listing for the same coins (or another set):
