They all look very similar from Edward III to Henry VII.
I thought this was a Henry VII groat but after examining lots of photos, I cannot be sure that it is.
Can anyone identify this one? And give me some pointers for quickly identifying them?

I was thrown off a bit because the legend on both sides begins with the mint mark, which is an anchor

I think moving this thread over to the United Kingdom subforum might help get an answer to your other question.
I don't have English medievals in my collection any more, but I think if the first part of the obverse legend is intact, you can look for letters that match up to either henricvs or edwardvs (or others), then use other features (portrait, the rest of the legend, etc) to narrow it down further. I'm not familiar with the good catalogs for ENglish coins, but Numista can certainly be helpful in getting it narrowed down at least to the right monarch.
