Having to use a cell phone to take pics so not ideal. Hopefully you get a decent enough view to form an opinion, if not I will try again.

This coin does have fingerprints on both sides.

Thanks

Well, unfortunately, the fingerprints aren't helping. Taking photos through clear 2x2 plastic can create issues, but your images look pretty good. With all that, I'd say a mid-range AU grade would be appropriate--some dings and hits are evident, and there's a hint of light wear on higher surfaces. Would be a decent hole filler until a better example comes along.

The images show plenty of glare. But The finger-print, the scratch on the forehead and the plenty of scuffs on he reverse are grade killers. Au-55 to au57. I am not the best at grading. Wait for the others before you decide anything.

Thanks for the replies. Took it out and used a USB microscope so maybe that gives a better view.

Isn't AU for brown/mostly-brown coins?

The AU designation is not limited to 'brown' coins.

Agree, AU something but the fingerprint has ruined the coin. I toss those back into circulation because these are plentiful in high grades with a little looking.

that made me chuckle, [it's hard to tell from the pics] this is the '68 DDR.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.
