I'm going through and rearranging some of my coins. I have a ton I never posted. I did post a link to this one a year ago or longer but never posted the coin in hand. It's well worthy of the grade and one of my favorite pieces! What do you think?

Wow, the flare on the E in WE is insane. Incidentally, I have always wondered whay causes those flares on these Class VI doubled dies. For whatever reason, the thickness isn't uniform on the bars of the E or the I of LIBERTY (which always has a notch at the foot of the L). Would be very interested to hear an explanation of this phenomenon...

I found one of those years ago at a local coin show.

I really like the 'E' on 'WE'. It reminds me of elf shoes. LOL

I just remembered it might be a different number, but according to CC listing, they are the same die, but with a different number:

Quote:

1934P-1DO-003 CLASS 6
CONECA: 2-O-VI, Wexler: WDDO-004, FS#: unlisted.
Richard S. Cooper
Some have asked about my images I use and I'm glad to say, you can now you can see the DVD in sections on youtube:
1. Intro, older coins, toned coins 2. Doubled dies 3. Die events, One of a kind errors 4. So called errors, Coin information 5. Coin information Types and Varieties, Overlays
