The one Deez posted is obvious PMD. The OP's coin is not so obvious. It would be nice if Mike could look at it in hand. I'm not convinced that it is PMD.

I agree the OP coin it is not same like Deez post. BUT: why the Verdi's it is only inside? In normal condition will not be. This show as that the strike which could be see on the edge of the rim was done on cold condition and then the humidity developed after when the metal come back to the atmospheric temperature developed condense which facilitate the form of the Verdi but not to the rest. Like I say previously I can not disclosure methods the fakers use.

If Mike will have the coin in the hand will be great; also me I will like to have in my Lab.

And do not forgot: In the war time was use the shells to strike the coins. Those shells contain also ferrous metal which come from the shell caps.

I still think it is a cracked planchet even after all this.
