The first two photos are from the seller. I felt they were better close-ups than I could take. The second two photos are in-hand and taken by me. The white streaks you see on the second photo, of the Reverse, was something that was on the holder, not the Coin. It came off with some slab polishing.

I think it's fine, I'd put it at EF-43, better than a 40, but not quite a 45 to me.

To me it's closer to VF-35, but certainly no better than EF-40.

I'd say XF-40.

The coin is correctly graded. The obverse has wear of 45/50, but not showing much luster. The reverse has wear of 35/40 with some luster in the protected areas. Nice coin.

Could go either way, XF40-XF45. I wouldn't argue XF45.

Strike weakness in the usual spots; obverse hair and reverse eagles right wing. Signs of wear also on high points of the devices ie cheek, hair, top of cap. Mid relief points where you start to see more wear in VF at the bust into the drapery are still sharp, but lack any luster, so very light wear at those points.

Luster is still intact haloing the devices into the dentils, more pronounced on the reverse. Protected areas/low relief areas still have luster, but all mid to high relief luster is gone.

I agree with the grade even though it may be a little optimistic. Great coin.

I'm in agreement with Slider23 The obverse is a little weakly struck IMO and very little wear AU50+, the reverse showing a bit more wear VF35/40 range. So EF45 is probably the fairest grade that can be given in a split grade on a coin like this.

A really nice looking clean problem free example.
