Those are really hard to find, Nice!
Back in 2010-2011 I was finding 9-12 wheats per box.
Awesome fire pit!

Excellent find, pound_foolish, that's a low mintage nickel! Where did you find it?

No variety but found a nice cracked up head. A later die stage of the existing listing (SKH-1c-2020-03).

Congrats, pound_foolish! That one is truly difficult to pull.

In my searching the '39-D has been the single hardest to find Jefferson nickel... just 3 found in over 1.5 million searched. The 1950-D (5) is the only other Jefferson in the single-digits in terms of finds for me.

A nice little find this morning.

1970 S Small Date.

GREAT find, makecents! The weak "LIBERTY" which is characteristic of them is something I always look for when going through '70-S cents. Have found two in circulation in my lifetime.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,500,000 nickels searched in seven years! Have found THREE complete Jefferson sets!

Thanks, John77! Yeah, you have definitely searched a lot more coinage than I have. It's definitely a numbers game.

"A numbers game". Couldn't be more accurate.

Nothing special but an unlisted shield DDO. Some similar to Wexler listings but different. Nice notching and thickness to the southeast, on ERTY.

2018 P unlisted DDO.
