Can anyone tell me what this is on the date? Looks like missing plating on an uncirculated pl set.

Photos are a little dark but it looks like Split Plate Doubling.

Ya sorry about that I don't know why it gives such a heavy glare but what is split plate doubling? Is this rare?

I agree with JimmyD,
This seems to be extremely common on small cents from 2000, its almost harder to find a cent from 2000 that does not show this.
Aggressively searching Canadian Small Cents on a daily basis since 2018.
