OK here is the trick coin of the day! I got into a fight with myself trying to fish out a DDO on this obverse side of a copper 1982 P, but it's either a Machine Doubling or die deteration or both. So I am throwing caution to the wind and open a discussion. Coop will probably laugh and every one else will say jeeze he just don't get it. However my saving grace is I found an interesting cud on the reverse with a strip of something on the letter C of cent. the last two pics show this. Sorry about all the photo's. Have fun and Regards!

I'm assuming it's a copper, looks like a copper. You definitely have major MD going on that can be seen primarily on LIBERTY. The "E" in WE got my attention though, maybe just deterioration but the space horizontally is tight, which you will see on the doubled dies. You might check the listing and see if you can find markers but I don't think it's hub doubling. As for the reverse, you cut of the bottom of the rim with your pic. I think there was damage there below ONE CENT that folded over on the coin.

Normal large date copper strike cent. It has Machine Doubling on Liberty. On a DDO, the devices are even larger:

Note the wider/taller devices on the doubled dies? The normal images are just the same size of the devices as on the side by side.
