Hello!

This 2010 presidential one dollar coin does not have the year nor the mint mark. It also has a dark shadow, is this due to coin damage?

Likewise, is it common for this kind of coin to not have the year and the mint mark?

I am new at collecting coins. Please help me.

Kind regards,

Sunset

Thanks, found the year and "E Pluribus Unum" the mint mark seems to have faded. I used a magnifier.

Is this Uncirculated?
If it is, it could be weak strike. Back in the day when Pres. dollars were popular among variety collectors, the weak strikes were popular and carried a premium. Now the interest has worn off. If it is a circulated coin, the weakness will be due to wear. Can't help much without seeing a shot of the edge.
