While visiting Austin, NV, I went to this cool little gift shop owned by these old folks who make amazing jewelry by hand that also had antiques and old coins! Most of them were overpriced, so I tried my best to get the most out of them.

Oh that I was where I would be,
Then I would be where I am not,
Here I am where I must be,
Go where I would, I can not.

Now for the big question, price? What you paid and what the going value is.

How much does it weigh? Gift shops in Virginia City sell a lot of replicas. They mix them in among real coins.

To weigh it, I'd have to crack it out of its case, and I don't really want to do that. I paid $49 for it while PCGS says it's worth around $40 - $45. I plan to keep it for a while until the prices rise and sell it. I don't believe it's a replica, either. Those people are trustworthy. I find it hard to believe that people like them would do such a thing, although it's possible.

I love Morgan's. By far my favorite series. They represent so much history to me.

If you can't weigh it at the time of examination, look at the edge reeding. Our "friends from Over There" haven't yet been able to mimic genuine 19th century US MInt reeding
