These banknotes were printed in 5 Fen, 1 Cho, 2 Cho and 5 Cho currencies. Weihawei, where this note was issued, was a leased territory of the United Kingdom from 1898 until 1930. The capital was Port Edward (now known as "Weihai") Tsingtao (German leased territory) had similar banknotes.
