Nice shot of The Hyatt Manchester in San Diego.

Thanks but that shot was with my iPhone when my wife and I went to San Diego for a long weekend, I didn't take my DSLR, so there wasn't a picture I would consider album worthy ;)

My last trip to CA was a little bit more album worthy.

I have quite a few of those coins, none that look that good though. Irfanview huh I will look at that, anything to avoid Photoshop.

Irfanview is really a viewer of all file types but it has a few tools like resizing that work well. Its also not a memory hog like Photoshop.

I do all my post processing in Photoshop Elements. Since I'm very familiar with Elements, my workflow is very fast and hassle free.

Always better to keep using what you know if it does the job you need it to do.

I know how to use Photoshop (have full license, not just essentials), Gimp and several others but for resizing Irfanview is the best one out there. The pictures we are posting on CCF aren't master works, heck most of them are so bad that you can't even tell its a coin. I'm not going to debate which is better, but for just resizing for the forum Irfanview works better than almost anything else I tried.

Thanks for sharing this info. Will look at getting a better rig to hold the camera. Do you use a remote trigger?

I do sometimes, others I just set up the timer for 2 second delay and that's usually sufficient.
