Is this just damage, lamination or something else mixed in. It weighs 3.1 gms. Any help greatly appreciated.

. Is there a bunch of goo stuff on it? Maybe sook it in some acetone.

Beside the date it looks letters to me that do not belong as well.

Sorry to tell you but your Cent is heavily damaged and worth nothing more than worth one cent. The date on your coin is flattened and damaged from circulation wear.

I agree, post mint damage ( PMD). In addition, circulation flattening. Make a wish and throw it back.
