I have 2 off brand microscopes. They're both have a USB connection but the newer one has a 7 inch screen and you can use it without a USB. My older microscope is 5 MP with 10X-300x magnification and the newer one is 12MP with 50X-1200X magnification. I bought the newer one because I wanted more magnification. I'm not too impressed with the quality of this newer one. It seems like the pictures are more grainy compared to my old one. It has a stand with 2 goose neck lamps as well as the lighting on the microscope itself. I have tried different angles of light as well as turning off or turning down one of the lighting methods. Do you think the older one takes better pictures or the newer one? The first 2 pictures were taken with the older one and then the newer one.

IMO, for a PROPER comparison you should have used identical magnification for all your photographs.

Are they both lit by their own LED lights, or are you supplying the lighting externally? The lighting on the 2nd set is a LOT better than on the first set. It's actually very good, much better than I normally see with these scopes. The lighting on the first one is so bad that it's hard to make a comparison. Apples to Oranges. But if both are using internal lights, the second one is the way to go.
