Your CENT has a lamination. It is caused by a faulty planchet.

A lamination error means it is a defective planchet. Impurities in the planchet caused metal to split and peel up like your coin. Worth a few dollars to a lamination error collector. Your coin has a decent sized lamination, and worth setting aside.
