a 1944 penny with raised line running from the first "T" in "trust" into the top of Lincoln's head, any info on this would be appreciated.

That is a Die Crack known as a Spike Head because of it's location.

Spike heads generally don't bring much money I'm afraid. Check eBay's SOLD listings for similar coins and see what they bring.

Just a die event. No premium. They list them on some sites. But I don't know of anyone buying these.

Nice example. You might find a collector who goes bonkers for Wheat cent die cracks, and might be willing to spend $1-2 for one like yours.

Looks like a die scratch to me.
A die crack would also show up in the "T".
Describe it as if there were no picture.
Picture it as if there were no description.
