Asking the So. Cal. CCFamily to keep their eyes open for any sales of the following items.

Also taken was countless coins and sets. I'm so upset with myself for not keeping a more in-depth record of my slabbed coins, raw and sets. Hard learning lesson but the one thing about disappointment....one can get over it.

I'm by no means a pro and will never claim to be...just my 2 cents

@gf, that is a wicked bummer. Do you have even partial information on any of your missing coins that you can share?

That is really bad news. Was this stolen from your house, a show or what? Hope you get some things back.

Sorry that you're going through this. Man that really really stinks. Any information you have on the coins that were stolen could really help in bringing the guilty party to justice. There has to be a website dedicated to posting stolen items of significant value. I'm on the hunt.

So sorry to hear that. I lost my coin collection in a home break-in way back in 1987, and memories of that loss are still a bit painful. Hopefully with the records you do have the authorities will have success in tracking down at least some of the items stolen from you.

Thanks to all the viewers and kind comments

It was a residential burglary with no signs of forced entry.
Landlord was no help with the surveillance cameras/recordings, seems he didn't want to be bothered.

Most items, stored in shoe boxes and plastic " PCGS"slab holders, were OGP ASEs (30+) and a few AGEs 1/10th oz.(the ones in the felt covered book style cases) along with Commemorative 3 coin sets many 2 coin sets along with singles and slabbed dollars and half, @ 4 Prestige Sets.
Then the slabbed coins at least 40 to 50 items ranging from early cents NGC mostly 66/67 PCGS moderns (1980-2007) PF-69 (no big deal most were 5$ to 10$) Several ASEs, Morgans a few 78/7feathers MS63n64 along with other random dates (no key or semi). Some JFK half$. 4 rolls of graded 2009 cents. Plus a really neat 2 oz silver art round of an Egyptian motif.....Oh well that's life.

I posted the Neil Armstrong Family Collection items that I won from Heritages because I figured they would be most memorable and maybe someone (here on CCF) will come across them in a So. Cal. pawn or coin shop. Odds are very slim but

I'll soon be working on posting a topic as to the precautions all collectors should take to secure their collection. Like don't have any bumpers stickers on your car that would make it recognizable. Don't examine your change when the cashier hands it to you (just shove it in your pocket) and look at it at home. Also if a co-worker asks your gf "What did you and Jimmy Bill Bob do last night" make sure she doesn't respond with "He's always on-line searching for coins"....Anything to help prevent this from happening to others.

Just an idea: you can buy a pretty nice security system for under $500 like https://www.amazon.com/s?k=sycurity...nb_sb_noss_2

This might be the thirty plus years of watching TV procedurals speaking, but I count three suspects here.

You will get to the bottom of this.
