This is what most of these lead coins looks like nowadays, but I think the lead ones would have been easier to pass when shiny than some of the other stuff. I have the date as 1889 but not 100% sure of that.

Interesting fake.

Home Depot sells lead testing kits (2 for +_10) if you want to verify for lead. I do it for metal detecting finds that I'm curious about.
