Hi There, I am Travelling Overseas and I found some rare coins for sale. 1 guy has the 4 Draped Bust and I'm not sure if they are all fake or is there 1 that's real in the mix. The 1955 Penny Looks to be real to me but I would like a second opinion before I make a purchase Thank you

. Going by these photos, none of them look real. Need better larger photos. John1
( I'm no pro, it's just my humble opinion ) Searched 6.5 +/- Million Cents Since 1971

with John; not sure about the silver, but the 1955 DDO looks a little hinky to me. The color is off somehow, but the pictures are blurry. Is the rim doubled?

Normally I would say better pics needed, but even from these. . . All one glance fakes. Devices and details are all off, date is incorrect, notice the same consistent toning on the silver, screams Chinese fakes. Reverses are poorly done on the '96 and '97. Compare the eagle to that of a genuine one and it's obvious. M As for the 55, just compare the bust of Lincoln with that of a genuine example. This one is pretty crudely done, and a common attempt at a counterfeit.

Stay away from them. As previously posted, they are 100% counterfeits and not even good ones. Forgot to the CCF

I'm no expert, and new to the forum, but the silver dollars look like replicas. Well, not replicas, really, fakes. These are commonly made overseas, especially in China. A trick I recently learned is that the real draped bust silver dollars didn't have reeded edges (the little ridges all along the edge of the coin) because those weren't introduced until the 1830s, I believe. As for the penny, it looks like a novelty coin or reproduction of the famous 1955 DDO penny. The color isn't normal, and the head is totally off.

I agree with all of the above comments. These are all counterfeits, no matter how good the deal is on them, don't be tempted. You wouldn't want to be caught trying to bring these back into the U.S. on you. Just say no. to the CCF!
ça va bien aller
