Looking through the information about coins on the NGC website, I found strange prices for the metal content in this coin.
For example, if you go in and find out how much the metal costs in 3 cents (silver), you can see the price at $22.48, the 10-cent coin (barber) has a price of $22.49. Do they have a mistake or have silver prices increased dramatically ?

Sounds about right for the spot price of silver. What's the issue?

Remember that regardless of what anyone says about metal prices, it almost always is what is POSSIBLE. If and when you try to sell anything metal, no one really gives you what is posted as the price of that metal.

It looks like on the NGC coin explorer, what they are calling "melt value" is actually just current silver spot price, and you have to figure out melt value yourself since they also give you ASW.

What is ASW?
Why is there only $ 0.01 difference in metal between 3 cents and 10 cents on the NGC website? And why doesn't anyone pay me the market value of the metal in the coin? I thought that no one would ever sell me coins below the value of the metal in it, isn't that so?

Yes, multiply ASW by NGC's "Melt Value" to get the value of silver in the coin. So a Three Cent Silver currently has a silver value of 49 cents.
