Found one around Xmas time- will have get around to photographing it. Pretty circulated but it's good enough.

Perhaps just one die at roughly 100,000?

As I understand it, die pair life for 12 sided 50 Cents is around 100 to 150 thousand coins.

Nice find gxseries!

According to https://www.australian-coins.com/er...50-cent-50c/
'Whatever the cause of this error it's an interesting one and the mintage is likely to be only one production die run or less. This could mean that just 200,000 or less of this variety exist.'

They have been fetching just over $50 lately.

I haven't found one myself but I thought when they were discovered they were mostly in one part of the country (Sydney or Melbourne I think).

Sydney for sure, pops up in melbourne and SA. I heard it was cause due to one of the dies being set in the incorrect orientation, as oppose to it being loose and rotating around different degrees.
