This one looked pretty neat, over polished on the reverse to the right of the dome. just thought I would share

Budget cuts in the 1980s...60 grit much cheaper that 2000 grit sandpaper.....
I'm by no means a pro and will never claim to be...just my 2 cents

That is a target area for the clash marks to be removed. So that is die polishing. Looking like a nail on a scope, but they are minor more like a wire brush would leave.
