Can you explain where you're seeing doubling and tell us the reference number you think this one is (assuming you believe it's a catalogued variety)?

Even on a well circulated coin, you would be able to see this. Yours is not 001. At least, I do not see it.

Frost, you can feel some comfort though, that's a nice looking full horn 1916. Hard to find in that condition.
Spenc, do you have other photos of your DDOs? The one you posted isn't 16/16 either.

Here are the pick up points for the 16 doubled die Obv. Yours is not the variety. Sorry. Spencerj72, yours is also not the big boy doubled die. Sorry

Concur with the above comments, neither the OP, nor the coin posted by Spencerj72 are the DDO. This is a STRONG doubled die, obvious even in lower grades. Even without a visible date, there are other points of doubling pointed out by Tonyqt, to identify this one.

I'm not asking because I think anyone is wrong, I'll take the word of the experienced and lookin to educate myself but inside the 6 you can see it best and that's what made me question it ...I appreciate the response

I did see what you are referring to inside the loop, but without shaper images, I personally can't tell what it is; could be a number of things. Regardless, there are no signs of doubling that I can see.

With respect, this is simply not the overdate. Not even close.

There might be something inside the 6, but we would need better pictures. Even if there is, without all the other die characteristics it would never pass as the DDO. It would never get slabbed as one and no one would pay the money that the real one commands.

Do I have more pictures? Yes I do The first 2 are of the same coin just better shots Afterwards we will look at another I have. Then we will finish up with my last one which is low grade. From these and the pictures I already provided you should be able to identify one easily.

I understand you were having a tough time with the pics hope these have helped. Actually if you look at the whole coin you are correct you should be able to diagnose even a well well worn coin. I have gotten to the point I really don't even feel the need to even have the date at all given thi chin, neck, braid, ribbons, feathers, and anything else you look at is doubled just look to the left works for me.
