This 1955 Three Pence coin is one that I had found in my phone box coin bank the other day.

Yes - just like my avatar! That's quite a high grade coin with really detailed hairlines on the portrait. Even traces of lustre around the portcullis chains. Worth an acetone bath and a 2x2!

Very nice...The portcullis for the Tudors (Henry VII adopted this symbol of the Beaufort family from his mother)...

Just happened I was reading up on these symbols lately, pretty neat history on English coinage
I'm by no means a pro and will never claim to be...just my 2 cents
