Hmmmm. The brass one looks too shiny...like it might be plated. Is that copper poking through the E of cents? The light planchet looks to me like it might have had the edges ground down.

Isn't the brass 1859 a violation of eBay rules? Selling a coins for 10000$ that's non certified? I reported that one but not sure about the rest. Seems fishy so I would avoid the seller.

Edit: just went through the rest of there listings and there are many red flags. They are using stock photos.for most of there sales and apparently have tons of 1991 quarter rolls plastic wrap sealed(all stock photos) the only listing I can see in direct violation though is the 1859 brass.

The 'OP's 1859 has 11' pole marks all over it. It's not UNC and there is no way the coin came out of the mint like that. The so-called "brass" isn't by a long way. I'd stay away from that vendor for anything. All his items should be headed by the phrase "I hope that I can sell it for an inflated price". I think he also has a laundry list of shill bidders.

Look closely at the surface of the "brass" cent.

I already reported the brass one on the appropriate post.
I will leave the 1859 up to you to report or not
when you find out.

The brass one hopefully disappears since it's in violation of eBay rules as an uncertified coin for over 5000$. Every listing they have up is questionable, especially since they are a "new" seller. This one should be taken down based in there rules. https://www.ebay.com/itm/194862752849

Anyone trying to sell a coin worth over 2000$ but does not want to spend the pennies to have it verified based off what it's worth is untrustworthy to me.

As I said on my earlier post, it has been reported through
this forum and should be removed by tomorrow.

Also the cutoff is $2500.00, not $5000.00

Thanks for the correction JimmyD. I know some of the members here have much more influence when it comes to taking down listings like that. It was the only one I reported because it's the only one I noticed in clear violation of there rules. I have no doubt it will go poof. I have reported several coins that were not certified and and priced over 5000$ and nothing came of it.

Edge got ground off. The "brass" one has been polished (probably with BRASSO), and started to tarnish again.
