Hey Dearborn that honor goes to SteveInTampa who on 3/11/2022 posted a note with the serial number of 99999935 on a 1981 $1.
It is on the first page.

Thanks for that update, I'll hang around to see if that gets topped..  Funny though, When I posted my query, I imagined that this topic had many many pages, not just 2. lol oh well I guess I should have looked first..

Quote: Most modern replacement notes start with a zero. Some with several zeros. I challenge any member to post a $1 replacement note with a higher serial number. @Steveintampa , close to yours.....lol

Bumped another note out of the Top 10 today... Just found my second ever note starting with at least a "99.." the first one I found about 15 years ago, so now I have a "999" and a "993" :-)
