Quote: I did find some unusually nice IRB coins that look like they have only recently been returned to circulation: Very interesting!

Day 58Noodled $100 worth of 20c and didn't find a single Centenary of Federation. They are turning out to be much harder to find than their 50c counterparts. Found a 2017 Victory Medal NCLT coin though: Total number of 20 cent coins noodled: 5490 Number of different coins found: 63 Number of coins still to find: 2

Day 60Noodled $50 worth of 20 cent coins and once again there were no Centenary of Federation coins from any state. Did find a 2022 coin which has been added to my list and my collection. Only other thing of interest was another 2010 bubble variety: Total number of 20 cent coins noodled: 5740 Number of different coins found: 64 Number of coins still to find: 2

Day 63Slim pickings from another $500 bag. In fact no pickings at all. 2022 coins have flooded the market making it even more difficult to find any earlier coins people may be looking for. Here's just a small sample Well over 20% of the coins I'm searching through are dated 2019 and later. I'd hate to be trying to find my first 1966 wavy baseline in this day and age. As it is I haven't found any 2001 Centenary of Federation coins at all in the last 2 weeks. Total number of 20 cent coins noodled: 6240 Number of different coins found: 64 Number of coins still to find: 2

Very interesting, looks like 2022 may be a big mintage year for the 20 cents. Such a contrast to hear where only one 2020 coin has come out, ironically too the 20 cents.
You Australians are way ahead of us, judging by your luck with alphabet dollars, seems that 2022 is going to be a bumper year for all circulation coins!
I love COINS!!!

Day 66Noodled another $100 bag of 20 cents. Interesting with the State of Origin football on tonight that I found both Queensland and New South Wales CoF coins. Both are in nice condition too. Still no sign of the Tasmania and Norfolk Island ones. Total number of 20 cent coins noodled: 6740 Number of different coins found: 64 Number of coins still to find: 2

They are back in circulation again, probably because the Ebay price has crashed,no one seems to buy them these days. Friend is the local TAB shop manager and collects coins for me,getting State Centenary 20 & 50c at the rate of 3-4 a week, some are close to Unc,looks like they have been saved/stored for 20 years.

Day 7125 rolls of 20c coins yielded nothing but a pair of Queenslanders and a couple of New Zealanders: Seems the Tasmanian tiger really is extinct and all the Norfolk Island pine trees have been cut down. Total number of 20 cent coins noodled: 7240 Number of different coins found: 64 Number of coins still to find: 2
