Spent a few days searching for a nice 1858 large cent, other then the few MS-64s on eBay for a few thousand each, this was my best option to scratch my itch.

I'll be following sales and auctions until I find the right one for my collection, and eventually let this one go.

Let's see your prized 1858!

My 1858 is nowhere near the caliber presented.

But I do have a complete Large Cents collection (with maritime coins)

Gidjit, that's a pile of pennies! No 1858's for me but I did just acquire a number of 1859's (all narrow 9's) busy going through determining which varieties I've got.

Been after a mint state 1858 LC for a while, made a bit of a panic-buy, given what prices are doing lately and how low inventory is- one came up and I went for it- paid market rate, but very much OK with the purchase.

Anyone looking for a 1858 full vine + leaf RCNA action house has one in AU-50 coming up in July, not an easy coin to find in higher grades.
