Good morning all, got a roll of 1941s from ebay, about 6 cents per Wheat cent. Listed as unsearched, which is always hit and miss. well, this one was "unsearched" for varieties atleast. found this 1941 DDO FS 102 in the roll.

1941 DDO-001,002 compared with a normal and a Machine Doubling: A help of see the difference betweenA normal coin and a doubled die. A nice pair of DDO's to find. CoopHome: What is spread on the devices as seen on a doubled die? How is this different from Machine Doubling? Spread= Enlarged devices on the die. Machine doubling is caused by the machine that removes the contour of the devices. One is caused by the die, the other is caused by the machine. Yes, both can happen on a strike, but only the die causes a doubled die coin. Machine doubling never makes a doubled die, only Machine Doubling.
