@Adiw - Welcome to the grading forums. In general, if we find the coin in question in the grading threads, which is often easy to do, we keep that to ourselves until the grade is revealed by the OP so that others visiting the thread can practice grading the coin and expressing an opinion without prior knowledge of the TPG service's grade. As Slider23 indicates, usually for about 48 hours. The goal is to help one another improve our grading skills. Having said that, what is your opinion of the grade before or after you saw the holdered grade? |

Of course Slider. I liked the coin in the pictures and the price was right imho. As they say, but the coin, not the holder.  |

Like I've said many times, not all details coins are equal. This coin is absolutely fantastic, and has great eye appeal. Just three words about your purchase: in a heartbeat!

A beauty for sure! I'm also curious what this one looks like in hand. Has a similar look as my Bust Dol. that NGC also called AU Details cleaned. Yours is much sharper. Looks like an old cleaning that has since toned over and I would definitely call market acceptable, especially considering the number of less original looking examples that make it into a straight grade. Great looking piece  |

Often unexpected things come up that are well priced and I love a bargain. A 1804 quarter (or dollar) that I like within my budget hasn't crossed my path.

Stunning is a bit of an understatement! While there appears to be a bit of wear, the strike looks really great. I see some other posts mentioning a cleaning, but to me it doesn't detract from the appearance.
Congrats once again on an incredible acquisition!

I'd rather have that AU details coin than a F or VF in a straight grade slab any day, which is about what youd get for what you paid. There is more originality to me in that coin with a wiping than one that has had the metal eroded from a run in with pockets. Well done once again NS.
