Hello everyone, I found this 1972 D Quarter which I am classifying as A circulation survivor! This came out of a recent bank roll and I hesitated to present it for A MS grade because Liberty and Quarter show some type of ridge ring contact. But the coin is a looker and the fields are great. So take a look (I included some close up shots to show how clean it is) and of course let me know your thoughts. Regards!
The first obverse photo as well as the reverse makes the coin appear to be polished. Not sure if there is a question here? Perhaps submitted to wrong forum?
Coinfrog it is indeed a scratch on IGWT. ijn1944 You are correct sir. WMD on Liberty and Dollar on the reverse. merclover I present the coins from the rapper and I agree it looks plated or polish but it's how I found it. Regards all and thank you for your replies. I'll stick this guy in a flip for safe keeping.
the devices look dished in or concave - not sure if a rolling machine would do that without leaving any scratches. I have seen this effect somewhere before, but cannot remember where.
