Good evening everyone,

I got this coin from the same roll with the reprocessed 1943D cent yesterday. I see that there is still mint luster on the coin surface so I think it may be an original one. If it is original, what is the grade you would give this coin?

Thank you!!

Here is a picture of two coins for your reference. The reprocessed one is on the right.

Somewhere between AU-58 and MS-63. One of these things you'll never get clear agreement on without a TPG opinion, which of course is unlikely.

I find steel cents particularly difficult to grade. I agree with you, it doesn't look reprocessed. High AU to low MS looks about right to me.

Signs of light circulation, you can see it in the fields...but I also see some cartwheel spokes!

I agree, AU. Not worth sending off in this grade.

AU-58 on the P Mint. The D mint coin has been reprocessed.

I don't see any worn out areas on the coin to think it's below MS60. Can someone explain why AU? Where's the worn out part that I cannot see? I mean based on what I see it's at least MS62
