Little Known Feature Of US 20 Cent Pieces

Nice coins and group.

Parts of US coins that fascinate me are these forgotten denominations, of course on my budget and understanding, all I have is an 1865 3 cent nickel.

Realised they were right about 6 denominations to 5 cents in 1870s, Indian head Pennies, 2 cent copper and nickel and silver 3 cents and 5 cents.

Besides the 20 cents, seems silly as the coin was still very close to quarter size (The English shilling was pretty much in the middle worth around 23 cents), the true rarity is the $4 Stella. Do any of you have one of those?

I think the 6 1870s coins the article is referencing are:
1c IHC 19mm 1859-1909
2c 23mm 1864-1873
3c Silver 14.3mm 1851-1873
3c Nickel 17.9mm 1865-1889
5c Shield nickel 20.5mm 1866-1883
Seated half dime 15.9mm 1837-1873

If those small denomination coins weren't enough, it seems like other small denominations still circulating during the 1870s would be:
1/2c Braided Hair 23mm 1840-1857
1c Braided Hair 27.5mm 1840-1857
1c Flying Eagle 19mm 1856-1858

Can you imagine 9 different coins bouncing around all worth 5 cents or less? I don't know why they thought a 20 cent coin would help.
