I thought I saw somebody mention a tutorial on coin photography, but I can't find it. I tried the search function but that only turned up people like me, i.e., people who want to learn about coin photography. Stamp photography is easy. Slap stamp into scanner, press button, and bingo! Well, one might want to do a little editing. Anyhow, I would appreciate advice.

I might add that I Have seen some impressive coin photos on this forum, and some crummy ones on ebay. I also find it odd that on ebay you see the face, with date, but no the obverse, even if that is where the mint mark is.

There are a few coin photography tutorials on YT. Just have to search for them.

What equipment do you have? Have you tried photographing coins, and if so, what were the deficiencies?

Just like Bill Lawson, Graham Houghton, PHOTIGY on YouTube brightened my day.
