1941 Jefferson Nickel Possible Error T In United?

I found this old nickel in my collection. The T in United looks weird compared to the normal T on a Jefferson nickel. Is this PMD of some sort?

It has taken a hit displacing the metal. PMD
There is no way for that to happen during the striking of the coin.

I agree. Best guess is PMD damage. I don't think I've ever seen one damaged in this way. I just thought it was a cool find. Here's a closer shot of it. It looks almost like it was made that way.

I was a toolmaker for over 25 years. So, I know how funny things can happen and am very intrigued by those misnomers. I've had this coin for over 30 years and never noticed this until I started looking closer at them through a microscope. I'm retired now and have more time to spend in the hunt. :)

The T took a hit as stated but do I see a die chip oh side of building?
