I have some GSA Morgans I'd like to photograph, and I recently purchased the Tomlov microscope that has been discussed in other threads here. The attached photos are about the best I've been able to do so far. I'm hoping for tips and suggestions for improvement.
Mostly default settings used. I did calibrate the white balance with an 18% gray card. LEDs within the camera turned off, stand LEDs as close to vertical as I could get them, and aimed just above the coin.
My only suggestion would be to try to get the overall lighting even across the whole coin. The bottom third of your images are darker. Maybe another light source appropriately placed?
