Hey everyone I'm definitely a rookie to this site but thought that I should start here for help identifying the error on my coin. I would greatly appreciate all opinions, thank you and may God bless each and every one of you!

Not a mint error. It appears the nickel is the victim of post-strike circulation damage--particularly on the obverse. Imagine the coin being slid on an abrasive surface--the highpoints taking much of the damage. Others will be along to comment.

Looks like this coin was cleaned with sandpaper. Certainly not an error coins, just post mint damage. However, still worth 5 cents.
