I was enjoying revisiting and updating photos of some of my Morgans and this 1878 7/8 7/5 was at the top of the pile.
I obtained it about 10 years ago for $104, already graded by NGC MS62 and attributed as VAM 38. Looking at it again I could not help but marvel at the uniqueness of the coin with all the doubling and other factors we see in many coins.
The obverse is toned while the reverse is original luster.
I tried to have the photos depict the coin as true as possible. Hopefully they show you why I love this coin.
