It is not in my possession. Whoever is selling it may have. Even if it was taken out, the MM is close to position 3 from NGC website.

1909-S no VDB has the same or very similar MM position. Is this an "unsearched roll" being advertised? Possible 1909-S VDB! L@@k!!! It's an old gimmick.

Nah, not a chance, nobody would see 1909-S on the end of a roll and then open it. That's crazy.

It befuddles me that people buy these "unsearched" rolls with a possible key coin at the end. The crimping at one end is ALWAYS suspect.
Or worse, an "unsearched Wheat cent roll" that has some non-cent coin or token at each end. Must be using a Ouija board or something to determine the inner contents.

It's a roll for suckers. Don't be a sucker. Even the coin as shown is damaged. Guarantee it is NOT a VDB.

The MM position isn't the same. Save your money.

I like your thinking though of verifying the MM position.

If I just happened to have a roll of LWCs with a 1909-S on the end, it would have been cracked open immediately.
These "fantasy" rolls are sold by unscrupulous sellers who prey upon naive buyers.

You may see less unscrupulous roll sellers on eBay in the future.

Are we anticipating a 'numismatic tribunal' to screen all listings before they open?

The mint mark position is not the same in my opinion. If you look at the coin in the roll, the top right edge of the "S" lines up with the center of the zero. On the S VDB picture, it lines up with the inside left edge of the zero.
