A gift from my Boss at work - they all know how much I love collecting coins, so they all chipped in to get me this one: It has some extreme edge/rim damage though.  I appears to be a rotated die error too (I calculate at about 105 degrees:  It is also slightly larger than an Eisenhower dollar:

After further examination, it turns out to be a gold clad-chocolate core coin. It was also a 'struck through' what looks like a screen or something.

 I clicked on this when I saw the title, but didn't pay attention to who posted it. After my first "What the heck?!?" reaction, my wife probably heard me laugh in the other room... Good one, Dearborn!

Since it's a 1972 you should check it for the DDO variety.

This is a very rare variant overstruck with the Bavarian coat of arms for circulation in East Germany. ("Ich bin ein Bayerischer.")
