what do you all think this one grades?

I collect low grade large cents. I currently have >230 Sheldon varieties and >235 middle date Newcomb varieties.

In my opinion the coin has the details of F15, with uniform light granularity on obverse, extensive granularity (light corrosion?) on reverse.

All in all, EAC G4 to G6

VG-details (porosity). Absent a date, I would find it hard to raise this coin to a grade of Fine.

thanks for your thoughts here everyone.

i have this one at 12 net 5. id expect it to slab at fine details but VG wouldnt surprise me.

i think S-29 is pretty wild. the date is so shallow that you can have low VF copies with the date completely worn off. that feature makes them quite affordable. its an R-2 variety so there is no variety premium and the type set and year set guys want their 1794 cent to have a date on it. this thing has almost VF hair detail and you can read nearly everything on the reverse but you could pick this coin up for good money. the same coin in a variety with a bold date would probably sell for 3X what this would.
