It looks like an off-center strike with minor cupping .

The obverse looks like it, but how is the reverse look perfectly struck but out of round?

Looks like a pipe or tubing job to me. Just an off the wall garage job. Could be wrong though.... I often am.

I'm thinking this..... Someone took a pipe, slightly bigger in ID than the cent, and smacked it on the obverse. That's why the design on the obverse is obliterated, and the reverse is stretched. You can even see the scrapes for whatever flat surface the reverse was on. Just a hunch.

Looks altered. If it were an off center, why are part of Liberty missing? It looks like damage to the coin to me. the reverse is not showing the same thing, but showing flattening on that opposite side.

This looks counterfeit too me. There should be damage to one side or the other if it was a pipe job.
