This coin was up for auction and the listing did not mention the Cud. Seeing the coin was cleaned I figured maybe no one would click in and really look at it and no one did so I got it fairly cheaply. I have been unable to find a listing for it anywhere, but JC just added it to cuds-on-coins so it is there now as the plate coin.

For a Cud that doesn't exactly take up all that much real estate, it is quite the porky fellow and one of the highest-raised Cuds I've come across.

Hey that Cud is nifty—seems like it has seen a decent amount of circulation wear.

Thanks folks! I don't really do much with Indian Head cents so not really sure what a "decent amount" of circulation wear would be but I have it as AU-details, which to me is truly but a tiny amount of circulation wear.

Closer to EF details, I'd say, but a real looker and congrats.

That's a nice one.
It reminds me of the headrest cushion on a recliner!! LOL

Nice obverse weakness in the denticles opposite the Cud.

I also thought there would be more loss of detail opposite such a strong Cud, but guessing it has to do with the total thickness of the copper-nickel Indian Head cents. They are pretty thick coins.

Nice looking Cud! I agree with PP55 that it resembles comfy headrest cushion.
