Have been stuck on this one for some time.

The crosses with circles remind me of Denars issued by Bela IV of Hungary, but I'm not finding a solid match in my reference books. Also, the letterforms seem to be right for Europe in that 1000 to 1300 AD range. This silver coin is pretty tiny: the diameter is 13 to 14 mm while the weight is 0.3 g.

Any thoughts from the hive on what I've got here? Thx in advance.

Looks Italian to me.
And it looks like the engraver liked to mess around with letter positions.

Any possibiity the first photo could have DE V for "of Verona"? If I recall, those Verona denaros have some really stylized blocky lettering.

And the second photo clearly has an A written inverse to the normal way, possible with an R on its left.

Added: Similarities to this one: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=2397788
I can now see the word VERONA is in the second photo, not the first.
And I am pretty sure you have another one in your collection.

Here is the Numista link, with inscriptions deciphered: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces151549.html

I can see the characters as described in Numista, although with shifted and mirrored C's and tight ligatures:

Yikes that is embarrassing.

Clearly I've been spending too much time looking Hungarian coins and need to take a step back to look broadly in my own collection.
